Area 3 discussion thread.

Post by Charon »

As mentioned in the OOC thread, Arc 2 of Pathfinder is coming to a close and these are our options going forward.

We basically have two options.

1. Continue with Arc 3. As you are likely aware, I left a hook open with regards to the shifting political situation in the desert lands. While I haven't finalised the storyline and the specific gameplay elements of it, if this is something you want to do, I can start working on that. Naturally, this will take me some time. The same is true if you wish to continue this Pathfinder adventure but don't fancy that particular arc. I can come up with something that leans more into an area you have more interest in, though we'd need to discuss what you want.

2. As an alternative, while I work on the Pathfinder adventure, I have a one shot I'm working on that is approaching completion and I'd love to playtest it on the forums as I've written it up as a complete 3rd/5th Edition dual format module. I was hoping I might stick it up in a few places and perhaps draw some traffic based on it.
It's a paladin centric adventure (well pally or cleric would work) where the group is sent to investigate an abandoned temple. It's largely investigative, with the goal being to examine the temple and the lingering spirits of its monks in order to piece together their identities and their crimes in order to forgive or condemn them (as you judge individually fit). Specific rituals must be performed to do so, think combats with a twist, not simply reducing hitpoints to zero.

In either case, Gimble has expressed an interest in joining and may perhaps be interested in both.
Please use this thread to discuss what you might wish to do in Pathfinder, if you wish to continue that game, and whether or not you'd be interested in the Paladin game as a stopgap.

(Edit, should probably specify the one shot is level 3)

Either one is fine with me. I like playing Nirili, but I'm open to just about anything.

I've liked playing Viales but I've had a hankering to play another gish class - Warpriest. Doing Arc 3 but with this would be interesting for me, but open to another plot.

For the one-shot, what do you mean with a 3e/5e format?

I'm up for either adventure, looking forward to roll some dice.

I mean I've made it for both, it can be run in either system.
I think people would probably prefer 3.5e, but I could just as easily run the 5e version.

Just gonna throw out my thoughts regarding Pell switching characters in Pathfinder.
We could make this work simply by having Viales wishing to return to the Conclave to inter Tegwin and releasing Nirili from her current contract. This opens up Nirili for hire to one or both of the other characters, depending on whether they know each other or not.
